Warren Hudson Morris talks about the history of railroads in Columbus, Ga. and the surrounding area. He also discusses some of the changes he has seen in Columbus during his lifetime, including transportation, buildings, entertainment, churches, and schools. Mr. Morris describes his family and his own experiences growing up on a farm in Alabama.

Warren Hudson Morris was born in Chambers County, Ala. and came to Columbus in 1911 seeking work. He worked for the Central Georgia Railroad in several different places, and in the mid-1930s came back to Columbus to work as a trainman and conductor.
